Rom and I spent the morning bicycling around the village. We headed to get breakfast at Annie’s when we noticed a vintage shop next to it. It is full to the brim with all kinds of old publications – from magazines, newspapers, poster, et. al.
What caught my attention was the giant phrase plastered on the window display, “print still lives!” Well I am a big fan of the printed word and decided to check out the shop.
Once we stepped inside The Old Magazine Store, it felt like we just came thru a time machine. Everything was pretty ancient. The owner was very nice and even told us a lot about history.
Vintage posters and standees populated a huge section at the back of the shop.
This issue of Life magazine from 1969 has the Apollo 12 on the cover.
He later found out that I am an Audrey Hepburn fan and showed me this.
Can you imagine having to hold and read a magazine from 1955? Audrey Hepburn looked phenomenal as expected.
