I heard this great news last month that Manila is finally having a music and arts festival of its own! This may be similar to the Manila Music Festival that we went to a year ago but Wanderland 2013 obviously has a more visible marketing and promotion effort going on. The online updates are massive.
I haven’t been watching the local news or listening to local radio stations lately so I have no idea how aggressive Karpos Multimedia Inc., the team behind this much anticipated fest, is promoting via TV and radio. But their exposure in the online arena is commendable as it is going viral and has been receiving much love, appreciation, and excitement from the fans.
This year’s Wanderland Music and Arts Festival will be featuring the following foreign indie bands: Temple Trap, Neon Trees, Nada Surf, Colour Coding, Avalanche City, Tully on Tully.
The local lineup includes: UpDharma Down, Taken By Cars, Pulso, Yolanda Moon, She’s Only Sixteen.
Tickets are sold in all Ticketnet, SMTickets, and Ticketworld outlets and online facilities. There will be two ticket options: VIP (PhP4,800+ticket charge) and GOLD (PhP3,000+ticket charge).
I am not sure about the art pieces that will be exhibited during the event. Their official website does not say about that aspect of the festival. But I am pretty sure it will feature great works from various artists (local or foreign, I dunno) just like what happened with Manila Music Festival (Sorry for the comparison; it’s the immediate thing I could think of when I talk about Wanderland).
Anyway, getting to the venue via private car or commute is a breeze. Simply check the directions provided in their official page. I am kind of sad because Rom might not be with me for the festival but I don’t want to miss it. Plus, it is the FIRST Wanderland Music and Arts Festival and I wanna be a part of it! (:
