Aaaaaand we’re back! The scene in the 10a Alabama Arts and Crafts Fair is so refreshing. It offers products from the most creatives artists and crafters that we have locally and that is an awesome shift from the towering malls sprouting EVERYWHERE.
Plus, we can’t get enough of the baked goodies that are being sold there. (; I also got myself an authentic leather bracelet from Lumago Designs. They sell accessories made of upcycled materials from hand selected and sanitized leather bags.
They also use recycled paper, pull tabs, clothing, and discarded bamboo wood to make other unique accessories. But what I love about this business is the purpose behind it. Running this organization and supporting their products means you are helping a bigger cause of providing a sustainable livelihood for the women of the Candua-ay community. You may read more about their mission and the beautiful story of how they started here.
We saw some of the crafters from yesterday and some new ones. Here are more of our unique picks for the day. I absolutely DISLIKE guns but these steampunk toy guys look so fly.
These crochet covered stones make awesome table decors and paperweights.
This is not about the necklaces hanging, this is about the beauty which is the BOARD from re-purposed wine corks.
Another great day with another set of awesome artists and crafters. From supporting local businesses to promoting social enterprise – 10a Alabama is the best! (:
